The North Essex Camp Fund is affiliated with several day camps and also works to send children with special needs to appropriate camps. "Camperships" are provided based on the family's circumstances and the specific camp to be attended.

There's definitely a camp for every kid's interest. There are even some wonderful special needs camps, just search online or ask your pediatrician for recommendations. Trust - did I feel comfortable leaving my child with the counselors?

I live in NJ and really want to do something with special needs children. Something lasting the entire summer. I am willing to go far as long as it isn't very expensive. I would like to stay more than a week. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm looking for a friend who wants to work in America for the summer, many camps i have found only that run for a week or two, does anybody know of any in North America that run for whole summer? (8 weeks)
A: many are only day camps
look up MDA (muscular dystrophy association)
i think each camper only goes for a short time, but it might run multiple sessions
