Diabetes is a common disease which affects adults and kids, but over the last decade it has continued to affect more and more children at a higher rate. The American Diabetes Association has online resources for kids and parents to educate families about the disease and provide support. Parents must make detailed arrangements when kids affected by diabetes are attending school, traveling for vacation, visiting friends or involved in extracurricular activities. According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) over 151,000 people under the age of 20 suffer form some form of diabetes....

Any special needs camps for a high school student to volunteer?

I live in NJ and really want to do something with special needs children. Something lasting the entire summer. I am willing to go far as long as it isn't very expensive. I would like to stay more than a week. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm looking for a friend who wants to work in America for the summer, many camps i have found only that run for a week or two, does anybody know of any in North America that run for whole summer? (8 weeks)

A: many are only day camps

look up MDA (muscular dystrophy association)

i think each camper only goes for a short time, but it might run multiple sessions

do you know of any funny clean skits for special needs camps?
