(AP) — Pennsylvania is showing its gray in Census figures being released Thursday, with the median age of residents having inched past 40 as the first baby boomers approach retirement age. Counties in rural northern Pennsylvania, as well as areas in western parts of the state once teeming with steel mills and coal mines were among the oldest in the commonwealth, according to the statistics from the 2010 head count providing fresh... Also factoring in is the maturation of the massive baby boom generation, the oldest of whom turn 65 this year....
Conversely, college and universities have been also been preparing given an expected decline or leveling off in the number of Pennsylvania children. For instance, there were about 791000 state residents age 10-14 in 2010, or 72000 fewer than 2000.
An initiative that gives child-care subsidies to low-income parents of 130000 children and has a waiting list of 12000 may be jeopardized, said Joan Benso, chief executive officer at Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children, an activist group in

this is a group that adopts children for christmas.
A: I tried googling it and nothing came up. Perhaps go to the local Red Cross or Salvation army. Even a local church should be able to help you find out how to get involved. You may also seach for orphanages in PA and go that route. Good Luck.

My mother has lost her job and inherited two young children under the age of 3 and in the process of losing her home. She will have no where to go. She has custody of her two grandchildren now. Where can she start to find low income/low budget housing
A: The Salvation Army should have a homeless shelter available, that is her best option.
She would not be "no income" as child support counts as income.
Why on earth would she take custody with no way to support those

He says that he isn't ready for marriage. I don't want to force him into it. I don't want him to marry me for the wrong reasons. I am very afraid that after he graduates boot camp and gets based, we won't be able to afford for me and our children to move
A: You have no choice BUT to move on, sweetie. You have to take things at their face value, and act accordingly.
He doesn't want the responsibility of being a husband and a father. Moving with him will be a mistake, because he's not ready
