The Finnish Lutheran Church has been plunged into crisis in the wake of a television debate on the church and homosexuality. Currently, about eighty percent of Finnish adults are members of the church, which involves paying a small amount of their salary to the church every year. The Archbishop of Finland, Dr Kari Mäkinen, stressed that Dr Räsänen, despite being a member, did not ‘speak on behalf of the church’ but this plea appears to have done nothing to stem the snowballing resignations. Ninety percent of those who resign from the church now do so through this one website. Oulu leading the way as over 30,000 resign from the church in homophobia furore....

My grandma wants me to try to help find her son that she had to give up for adoption in 1960. She has very little information because her mother never gave her any papers. The only thing she knows is that the adoption agency was Lutheran Social Services
