I'm Jewish but I really don't know this and I've been wondering about this. What is the Orthodox view on giving Jewish babies up for adoption? I am talking about say for example a young Jewish girl who is unmarried and by some chance be it rape or incest
A: i don't know anyone it happened too, but you would be allowed to give it up for adoption. just make sure it goes to jewish parents... i know there is an organization (maybe in america) that deals with jewish adoptions...

My birth mother was jewish but I was given up for adoption and was adopted by a secular family. Technically am I jewish?
A: Absolutely. You would be welcomed even in the strictest of Orthodox communities, although obviously you would have a lot to learn in order to practice Judaism.
