It has definitely taken a financial toll and although the subsidy isn't a great deal of money, it will help out with the routine maintence of the day to day costs. What day do you generally receive the subsidy on. We have filled out the paperwork for direct deposit but was told it would take up to 45 days to process and to expect our first check by mail. We qualify for the subsidy based on the fact that we adopted a sibling group. We have had these kids in our home for over a year with NO monetary subsidy or help at all due to the fact it was a kinship placement. I have seen several posts that the subsidys are often late.
