I mailed my return and 3 weeks later the web said they received it and I would get it on or before 4/5/11. Then the following week they changed the date to 4/12. Then the next week no date and I have to wait for notification and send them more documents.

We have a finalized adoption in 2009.
Since the credit did not make a difference in our refund last year, we were told by our tax preparer not to bother filling out the 8839 form.
This year with the credit being refundable, we want to
A: Go to a recognized tax preparer and see if they can get the refund for you. I'm sure that's the best way to go with this.
